Vishing is over-the-phone phishing that attempts to trick users into disclosing sensitive data over the phone. The word vishing comes from two words: voice and phishing.

Smishing is phishing through text messages that attempts to trick users into disclosing sensitive data. The word vishing comes from two words: SMS and phishing.
